EDUCATIONAL SCHOOLS
EDUCATIONAL SCHOOLS SECTIONS: Time limit is 8 minutes maximum.
Infants Groups: Only for students attending Kinder to Year 2.
Primary Groups: Only for students attending Years 3 to Year 6.
Secondary Groups: Only for students attending Years 7 to Year 12
We do not accept combined School Groups
Students may only perform in one section for the School/Campus and in the grade they currently attend.
The only exception to this rule is:
An infant student may perform in the Primary section of their school if that school is unable to enter a group in the Infants section.
THIS IS THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THE RULE…
Please remember that you enter under ALL the rules of the Port Macquarie & District Eisteddfod Society. It is your responsibility to read and understand all rules, as ignorance will not be accepted as an excuse and you risk your groups not placing.
PROP RULE REMINDER:
16. Dangerous props are forbidden. No liquid, powder, glitter or fine particles, which are difficult to remove from the stage, are to be used during the performance. Glass, naked flame, objects thrown from the stage into the audience, or anything else that could make the floor slippery or endanger either competitors or audience in any way is similarly prohibited. No stage property to be used without the prior permission of the Dance Committee.
17.PROPS: NO SCENERY ALLOWED. Simple hand-held props (basket, scarf, doll, flowers, etc) are permitted only if actually used in the routine. Each Competitor is responsible for placing and removing their props on and off stage.
Props must be easily carried backstage by the Competitor /Compeditors without any assistance.
*No prop that needs assembly on site will be permitted and must fit through a standard doorway*
48. NO part of the performance may be performed in the auditorium. Entry & exit from the stage must be via the wings only,
